"Recently we released a comp full of our favorite music from 2017, which you can download for free from the link in our bio.
Artist: Pillars (Indianapolis, IN)
Album: Of Salt and Sea
This one slid in right at the end of the year, and knocked me off my feet. I don’t know how these dudes slipped under my radar while I was living in Indianapolis but I’m still mad about it. With former members of Anapparatus and Bowels of Judas, it’s safe to say these dudes have been at the game for a while and know what they are doing. Their newest release, “Of Salt and Sea” is their first fully instrumental release, and it earned them a spot on Arctic Drones’ “Post-rock listeners’ choice” list of 50 best releases of the year. And it is a spot well deserved. This album has the heaviest of heavies, and the lowest of lows, and is super crisp sounding throughout. This is one of my personal favorite albums to come out last year."
